The idea This is my first attempt to build a multi-rotor drone from scratch using the ArduPilot APM 2.6 flight controller. The reason I decided to go for ArduPilot is mainly because it is relatively easy to setup and well documented. The Mission Planner software is very slick and easy to use.
First time use Connecting the AMP board and setting it up with Mission Planner can be quite tricky as I found out. I have spent several hours trying multiple solutions to make it finally work. There are a few things to take into account to make it work. Here are my findings.
